In loving memory of my dear friend Trisha Bennett

Created by Bette 6 months ago
Trisha & l lived in West Park Avenue, Roundhay. l first met Trisha about forty years ago, strangely enough at 5.30 in the morning, she was walking her dog past my house and l was watering my garden early with a hose, as l started work at 7.30 am. We had a quick chat & decided to meet up another day.
I mentioned l did China painting as a hobby, Trisha also was interested, so at odd times we met up & painted together, from then on we saw each other frequently.
Trisha and her husband were very thoughtful & kind to me when thirty-four years ago my late husband coming home from work was killed by a lorry that went out of control.  They kindly went to the l inquest for me which was some distance away as l could not bear the thought of listening about the accident in detail.
Trisha and her husband also invited me to accompany them to various places they were travelling to in Yorkshire when they went for days out, seeing l was bereaved. Their friendship meant so much to me, especially as l had no family living nearby.
I also used to visit her mother regularly who lived nearby.
We travelled together to various China Painting clubs around the countryside
So grateful to have had such loving and happy friendship.
Best wishes to all her family thinking of you all at this sad time.
Love Bette.
